St Davids - The Lapidarium

All three trails focus on St Davids, the Cathedral and the Saint. At least once every year pilgrims gather at different churches along the three trails for worship and meditation and travel the lanes and byways by car or on foot to meet up for a communal lunch.

In the afternoon there are guided visits to other churches along the way, tea, and finally a special welcome in the Cathedral. It is particularly uplifting to arrive, after hours on the road or across country, often in drenching rain in the company of 30 or 40 fellow pilgrims, to participate in the simple words of a traditional evensong.

The main event usually takes place each August but there are other activities to involve both visitors and local, grown ups and children.
