Llangolman

OS ref.

Church SN 116268

From Mynachlogddu the road passes out of the ancient Hundred or Cantref of Cemais into that of  Dungleddy. The church at Llangolman is tiny and   is dedicated to the same St Colman celebrated at Capel Colman near Boncath. It stands on high ground above a supposed  Roman road from Llanglydwen to Maenclochog and commands a magnificent view down the wooded valley of the eastern Cleddau.  In the valley below Rhydwilym Baptist chapel, founded in 1668, is believed to be the oldest in west Wales.
